Eppegem, Brusselsesteenweg 324

Eppegem is located a few km. south of Zemst and is best reached via Mechelen and  the E19 freeway. From Zemst the military cemetery is on the right side of the road just before entering the village center.

This military cemetery gives rest to the soldiers that died during the siege of Antwerp, the fights at Eppegem itself, Imde, and the first (August 24, 25 and 26, 1914) and second (September 9 and 10, 1914) counterattacks from Antwerp.

On half an acre of land there are 228 Belgian tombstones from the First World War, 46 of which are only known unto God.
