Because of fierce fighting in the Roeselare area during the final offensive, the Roeselare honorary park is quite substantial.
The civil cemetery’s honorary park honors 92 Belgian heroes of World War One. They are all identified on their nameplates.
There is also a section with casualties from the Commonwealth countries and from France.
The graves of the brothers Emil and Joseph Tytgat are striking. Emiel was killed on February 6 and Joseph on June 25, both in 1917.
